How to Get There:
Most convenient option – BTS Skytrain + Chao Phraya boat:
- Take the BTS Skytrain (Silom Line) to Saphan Taksin Station (S6).
- Walk to the nearby Sathorn Pier (right under the BTS station).
- Board the Chao Phraya Express Boat (orange flag) heading north.
- Get off at Tha Chang Pier (N9).
- From the pier, it’s a short 5-minute walk to the main entrance of the Grand Palace.
By taxi or Grab:
- Simply enter “The Grand Palace Bangkok” into the app.
- ⚠️ Be aware of traffic during rush hours, and only use official taxis or apps.
Visitor Tips:
- Dress code: No shorts, tank tops, or sleeveless shirts. Shoulders and knees must be covered. Sarongs are available for rent at the entrance if needed.
- Opening hours: Daily from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Entrance fee: Around 500 THB (includes access to Wat Phra Kaew and a few museums).
