How to Get There:

Most convenient option – BTS Skytrain + Chao Phraya boat:

  1. Take the BTS Skytrain (Silom Line) to Saphan Taksin Station (S6).
  2. Walk to the nearby Sathorn Pier (right under the BTS station).
  3. Board the Chao Phraya Express Boat (orange flag) heading north.
  4. Get off at Tha Chang Pier (N9).
  5. From the pier, it’s a short 5-minute walk to the main entrance of the Grand Palace.

By taxi or Grab:

  • Simply enter “The Grand Palace Bangkok” into the app.
  • ⚠️ Be aware of traffic during rush hours, and only use official taxis or apps.

Visitor Tips:

  • Dress code: No shorts, tank tops, or sleeveless shirts. Shoulders and knees must be covered. Sarongs are available for rent at the entrance if needed.
  • Opening hours: Daily from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
  • Entrance fee: Around 500 THB (includes access to Wat Phra Kaew and a few museums).
  • Watch out: Ignore anyone outside telling you it’s “closed” – this is a common tourist scam.
